BRTA awards: Borja Pozo, winner of the award for his promising outreach as a young researcher
Pozo coordinates Tekniker’s space unit and is working to develop space technology for future missions.
BRTA acknowledged the outreach of Borja Pozo Larrocha’s research activities at Tekniker with an award as a recognition of the “research work carried out to date characterised by a highly promising future ".
Borja Pozo received the award during an event held at the Biscay Science and Technology Park with the participation of President Iñigo Urkullu, Arantxa Tapia, the regional minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment of the Basque Government and Rikardo Bueno Zabalo, director of the BRTA alliance.
Borja Pozo coordinates Tekniker’s space unit and is currently developing space technology for future missions. The researcher stated that “developing technologies to travel to Mars or the Moon requires a unique approach and work of this kind is highly motivating for all of us at Tekniker”.
These awards recognise, value and provide a stimulus for the work that has been carried out by a number of people whose efforts have been geared towards researching, developing and transferring technology to member organisations of the BRTA alliance.
In addition to Borja Pozo, awards were also given to Amaia González Garrido (Tecnalia) and Roberto Viola (Vicomtech) for their promising outreach as young researchers.
As regards the so-called Trajectory category, three recognitions were given to Elena Palomo del Barrio (CIC energiGUNE), Artzai Picon Ruiz (Tecnalia) and Javier Del Ser Lorente (Tecnalia) for their extensive and fruitful work carried out at their respective organisations within the BRTA alliance.
President Iñigo Urkullu closed the award-giving ceremony.
