Fraunhofer Gesellschaft is a German organization dedicated to research and made up of around 60 institutes, each with a different specialization in applied sciences.

Its activity is centred on the health, safety, communication, energy and environmental sectors and the work of its researchers includes designing products, adapting technologies and improving methods and techniques.
