IK4-TEKNIKER is to participate in the 1st 3D Metrology Conference
IK4-TEKNIKER will give a presentation dealing with the new techniques used to measure parts that are becoming increasingly larger.
IK4-TEKNIKER will participate by giving a lecture at the first edition of the 3D Metrology Conference (3DMC), to be held in Aachen (Germany) from November 22 - 24 2016.
The conference, to be held for first time ever, will focus on applying and developing 3D measurement technology for industrial and research purposes.
At this conference, IK4-TEKNIKER will give a presentation entitled “New advances in metrology involving large parts” dealing with the new techniques used to measure parts that are becoming increasingly larger, particularly at petrochemical plants wind farms and the aerospace business, with a specific focus on time-saving factors and minimal metrology error margins.
To that end, the technology centre is currently researching a number of on-site part measuring techniques such as photogrammetry and 3D dot cloud acquisition in addition to new methodologies such as compensation measurements of thermomechanical errors.
The conference is aimed at researchers and professionals from industrial sectors such as the automotive or aerospace business or power generation, among others, and will present and discuss the latest contributions, scientific advances and issued related to 3D metrology.
