IK4-TEKNIKER to be visited tomorrow by the General Secretary of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez
The leader of the Spanish Workers’ Socialist Party (PSOE) will visit the technology centre to review the role played by R&D in terms of the business fabric in the Basque Country. Pedro Sánchez will exchange views with IK4-TEKNIKER staff on challenges related to innovation and their connection to European industry.
The IK4-TEKNIKER technology centre is to be visited tomorrow by Pedro Sánchez, General Secretary of the PSOE. He will tour the facilities in the company of Eibar town hall officials and discuss matters with staff members concerning the role played by R&D with regard to enhancing the competitiveness of European industries and looking into how technological transfer models can be applied to businesses based in the the Basque Country.
Sánchez, after visiting the Biscayan town of Portugalete, will arrive together with the secretary general of the Basque socialist party, Idoia Mendia, Iñaki Arriola, party leader in Gipuzkoa, and the Mayor of Eibar, Miguel de los Toyos.
The socialist candidate, who will be running for the presidency of the Spanish government, will be received by the director general of IK4-TEKNIKER, Alex Bengoa, to be shown around laboratories featuring state-of-the-art equipment at the centre for technological excellence. During the visit, he will also be able to exchange views with workers in charge of in-progress projects.
