IK4-TEKNIKER will have an outstanding presence at the Conference on Automotive Quality in Bilbao
The technology centre is one of the sponsors of the meeting that will take place on October 21st & 22nd.
The Basque Technology Centre IK4-TEKNIKER will participate in the 21st edition of the Conference on Automotive Quality to be held in Bilbao on October 21st and 22nd in the city of Bilbao to further discussions concerning recent developments related to Industry 4.0 and how they apply to the motor business.
The event, which brings together approximately 250 people from different parts of Spain every year, features a programme with presentations to be given at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in the Biscayan capital be followed by visits to research bodies and companies on day two.
The technology centre, also one of sponsors of this event, will give a presentation entitled “Industry 4.0 and Metrology” to review the relevance of metrology as regards meeting the needs of future smart factories.
In addition, IK4-TEKNIKER will be visited by conference delegates on October 21st so they can view the facilities and discover the main lines of work, namely, advanced manufacturing processes, metrology 4.0, robotics and the cleaning service for automotive components and parts, the only one of its kind in Spain that has been certified by ENAC (the National Certification Body in Spain).
This service allows customers to analyse residual pollution present in parts and components to be used in highly demanding systems such as engines, suspension & steering systems and electronics to prevent failures and extend life cycles.
The Conference on Automotive Quality, held on a yearly basis, provides a meeting point for sector professionals and intends to foster the exchange of knowledge in areas such as the transfer of ICTs to the field of quality.
The new skills and disciplines that sector professionals must command, the integration of new tools and excellence systems in the new Industry 4.0 paradigm are but a few of the issues to be discussed during the conference.
