Maintenance 4.0, a key element for factories of the future
Reliability and predictive maintenance for factories of the future.
Industrial maintenance is a key element in Industry 4.0 with regard to making the most of the new possibilities offered by Big Data, machine learning, Condition Monitoring, etc. and implementing new business models.
It is in this context that IK4-TEKNIKER - Lubrication Management is currently working on reliability and predictive maintenance strategies within the scope of maintenance 4.0 to be applied to “factories of the future”. In fact, on September 1 & 2, 2016 and during the Latin American Maintenance and Lubrication Seminar organised for the fourth time by STLE Latin America (the Latin American Society of Lubrication and Tribology Engineers) a presentation entitled “Maintenance 4.0: Reliability and Predictive Maintenance strategies for factories” will be given by one of the speakers.
The lecture will mainly focus on the benefits and advantages resulting from linking the specialist’s knowledge to data processing by using and applying data processing tools, integrating predictive analytics and forecasting or predicting failures or potential future events based on machine behaviour, including Big Data concepts, addressing tangibility and measuring results in a certain amount of time.
This is a very important issue for IK4-TEKNIKER, as it has been concluded that “smart” maintenance processes, resources and methods must be adapted to current management practices.
