Maximum efficiency in asset maintenance
IK4-TEKNIKER develops tools to optimize and plan maintenance tasks. The solution designed together with Sisteplant enables the comparison of maintenance options so the most suitable and profitable one can be chosen.
New demands productivity, availability and safety in the industrial sector have inspired companies to look for new solutions that enable them to improve their products and processes, especially in the area of maintenance and operations.
It is estimated that the indirect cost of performing maintenance tasks for an industrial company ranges between 4 and 8% of its total sales, a very significant amount that has forced this sector to explore new more efficient techniques.
In this search for efficiency and competitiveness, companies are focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance strategies rather than traditional corrective actions, with the aim of maximizing results and minimizing expenses.
In this context, IK4-TEKNIKER has developed together with Sisteplant, an engineering company whose main activity is the optimization of productive, logistical and organizational processes for different sectors, several flexible tools which can adapt to the demands and objectives of their clients in their search for the best maintenance and operations strategy, always taking into account financial profitability.
Specifically, one of the software tools compares different possible maintenance strategies (strategic planning and optimization in the use of assets) to help choose the most appropriate one and, thus, optimize costs.
In addition, tools and algorithms have been developed for the optimization of maintenance tasks and the management of spare parts. These tools include algorithms to help in the calculation of asset risk factors, spare part optimization, material stock calculations and, lastly, multicriteria optimization algorithms of the maintenance plan’s tasks and scope.
Thus, IK4-TEKNIKER has developed a new module for comparing maintenance strategies integrated with Sisteplant’s Prisma maintenance management solution, to carry out strategic maintenance planning and the development of tools for the optimization of maintenance tasks and spare parts management.
Asset Management Solutions
These tools are based on IK4-TEKNIKER’s Asset Management Solutions and specifically on the part of reliability, strategy and planning, which can be customized according to the needs of each company to define their improvement needs and specific objectives.
