Tekniker renews its agreement with Bureau Veritas to maintain its main Oil Condition Monitoring laboratory in Eibar
The French multinational has renewed the collaboration agreement it has had with Tekniker since 2018, when it acquired the technology centre´s industrial oil analysis laboratory.
The French multinational Bureau Veritas, a world leader in laboratory testing, inspection, and certification services, will keep its main OCM (Oil Condition Monitoring) laboratory in Eibar (Gipuzkoa), after renewing the collaboration agreement it had with the Tekniker technology centre since 2018, when it acquired its industrial oil laboratory, Lubrication Management-Tekniker.
During this time, this space dedicated to the analysis of industrial oils, considered to be one of the best-equipped laboratories in Europe, has become a vital economic asset of the territory with an annual turnover of around 4.5 million euros and 35 jobs.
The renewal of the partnership with Tekniker took place in the facilities of the Eibar centre in the presence of Adolfo Málaga, from Bureau Veritas, and Luis Uriarte, Managing Director of Tekniker.
"Renewing this relationship with one of Europe´s leading industrial players is great news both for Tekniker and for the technology ecosystem of Eibar and the Basque Country, as it reaffirms the position and competitiveness of the environment at an international level," said Luis Uriarte, Managing Director of the technology centre.
As part of this collaboration, Bureau Veritas´ leading OCM laboratory has provided lubricating oil analysis services, global lubrication management consultancy, root cause failure diagnosis and specialised training in industrial lubrication management to companies in a variety of sectors.
The collaboration between Tekniker and Bureau Veritas has succeeded in maintaining in Eibar the decision-making centre, the jobs, the technological equipment, and a business with a clear commitment to internationalisation.
"Knowing the status of both the oil and the equipment is becoming more and more important in industrial environments in order to avoid, in a proactive manner, possible failure due to inadequate lubrication and to diagnose the status of equipment through the analysis of the lubricant in use. Tekniker´s know-how in this field has allowed us to offer quality services and to develop new solutions," adds Adolfo Malaga, OCM Director of Bureau Veritas.
