Tekniker and Pavasal win the “10th International Award to Road Innovations” thanks to their SIMEVIA solution
SIMEVIA, an AI-based sustainable and efficient solution geared towards implementing efficient road management actions jointly developed by Tekniker and Pavasal, is the winner of the “10th International Award to Road Innovations”.
The innovative SIMEVIA solution (an integrated system for the maintenance and efficient completion of roadway infrastructures using AI technology), jointly developed by researchers at the Tekniker Technology Centre and Pavasal, a company dedicated to the construction and conservation of civil, industrial and logistic infrastructures, has been recognised by the prestigious “10th International Juan Antonio Fernandez del Campo Award to Road Innovations” presented by AEC (the Spanish road association).
In the course of the meeting held on November 5, the jury decided it was the best solution submitted to the competition based on its disruptive approach incorporating artificial intelligence to improve the management and sustainability of road infrastructures.
This solution is based on the knowledge gained via OMICRON focused on developing a multi-purpose robotic platform for road maintenance plus SAFETYPAV and to design a system for the prevention of road work accidents by installing AI aboard mobile machinery.
The award-giving ceremony will take place on December 3 at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid during an event to be attended by leading players specialised in innovative actions for infrastructures.
