Tekniker opens new premises in Madrid to boost the organisation’s technological offer
The technology centre’s director general, Luis Uriarte, opened a space yesterday whose aim is to attract companies and stakeholders based on the solutions it currently offers
The Tekniker technology centre, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), presented yesterday its new premises in Madrid whose purpose is to enable the business fabric to learn more about its extensive technological offer and enhance interactions with leading companies. The main focus of this approach is to support Basque companies that own facilities in Madrid and attract local firms.
These new premises are located at the SYMBCO Business Centre in Getafe. The aim is to offer a global overview of the centre’s solutions fully supported by the organisation’s excellent degree of technological specialisation in terms of materials and surface engineering, production ICTs and advanced manufacturing as the main pillars for R&D&I actions aimed at the industrial sector and which can be applied in areas such as healthcare, energy or aeronautics, among others.
Representatives from leading companies such as Repsol, CESA/Héroux-Devtek, Airbus, Sener, Aernnova, Aciturri, Tecnatom, Iberdrola and John Deere were in also attendance at the launch to support Luis Uriarte, Managing Director of the technology centre.
Luis Uriarte stressed that "we are opening these premises to establish effective collaborations and develop solutions that will allow us to further the competitiveness of the industrial fabric in those places where we can make contributions based on our technological specialisation".
A new approach
Tekniker already owns other premises in Madrid mainly focused on delivering solutions in the area of industrial metrology. Although the approach has now become much more comprehensive, its central vocation has not changed, i.e., being close and accessible to customers and building relationships that will produce value.
As from today, and thanks to these new premises, the technology centre will do its utmost to strengthen is ties with local companies and stakeholders and fully address needs and solutions in the area of R&D&i.
David Gómez, Director of Technological Services at Tekniker will be the person in charge of the staff working there and of the technical experts that will rotate as a function of the specific needs to be met.
