Tekniker participates in the 18th edition of the Metromeet conference
During the conference, Tekniker will present a vision-based self-calibration solution integrated in an industrial robot designed to improve its accuracy.
The 18th edition of Metromeet, the international Conference on Industrial Dimensional Metrology will take place in Bilbao on April 7 & 8 in a hybrid format (i.e., both in-person and via streaming).
The conference, organised by Grupo Innovalia, is nowadays an international reference addressing metrology and its deployment in the industry. The event will feature international speakers from the sector who will explain the most recent developments reported in this field and explain how product quality levels can be improved.
Tekniker experts will deliver a joint lecture together with Ideko. Both organisations are members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA)and will give a presentation entitled “Vision integrated system for a robot self-calibration solution through 6 DOF uncertainty assessment” and developed within the framework of the Precitek project, funded by SPRI under the Elkartek programme.
This project describes handling and production resources and how accuracy can be further stabilised in this type of equipment during manufacturing processes to minimise defects (Zero-defects) and increase system efficiency.
More specifically, the technology centre will describe the work done to date with regard to modelling and characterising an industrial robot for the purpose of creating a digital robot model (digital twin) that allows requirements and procedures to be defined to produce a vision-based robot self-calibration system.
The conference is aimed at professionals and users from companies operating in the metrology sector and experts working for prestigious international universities and research centres.
