Tekniker presents its latest smart manufacturing solutions at the European Transfiere forum
The technology centre will participate as a speaker and exhibitor during the conference hosted by FEDIT to explain the organisation’s latest developments in terms of advanced manufacturing, surface engineering and ICTs.
One of the main goals of Tekniker, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), is to further collaborative actions with other technology centres and universities to boost technology transfer processes in the industrial sector. In this regard, the technology centre will participate in the upcoming European Transfiere forum on science, technology and innovation on February 16-17 in Málaga organised by the Spanish Federation of Technology Centres (FEDIT).
More specifically, the technology centre will play the role of speaker and exhibitor to present its most recent technological developments in the areas addressing advanced manufacturing, surface engineering and production ICTs.
On the one hand, the technology centre will participate in a panel discussion chaired by the director of FEDIT, Áureo Díaz Carrasco, during which José Miguel Landeta, director of Technology Transfers at Tekniker, will present the Cervera Network of Robotic Technologies in Smart Manufacturing.
This collaborative network, that has been under Tekniker’s leadership since 2021, intends to boost synergies between technology centres that already have the tools and infrastructures required to further the development and implementation of robotic technologies in the area of industrial manufacturing.
Landeta will give his presentation at 11.45 on February 17 in the forum’s Technology Room together will fellow panelists Enrique Morgades, Director of the Market Unit at CIRCE; José Miguel Fernández, Senior Technical R&D Adviser at the Aitiip Technology Centre; Áurea Rodríguez, Head of the Corporate Development Unit at EURECAT; Pablo Coca, Director of Operations and Business development at CTIC and Daniel Sáez, Director of Strategic Intelligence and ITI Transfers.
Technological exhbition
On the other, Tekniker will be present on the FEDIT stand, also located in the Technology Room, to showcase several demonstrators developed by means of technologies such as additive manufacturing, plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO), laser technology and micro & nanomanufacturing that can be applied to strategic sectors such as aeronautics or healthcare.
During the forum, Tekniker will exhibit, among other things, a titanium wall manufactured by means of powder LMD (Laser Metal Deposition), a technology of great interest for the aeronautical sector; an hexagonal mesh used in the healthcare sector cut by a precision laser; PEO coatings for aluminium and titanium parts for which there is a big demand in sectors such aeronautics, automotive or health; or moulds featuring nickel micro/nanostructures for which electrodeposition techniques are used to obtain plastic parts that are superficially micro/nanostructured to achieve different biocidal and water repellent functionalities or prevent ice from forming.
Luis Uriarte, director general of Tekniker, explains that by participating in Forums like FEDIT, the organisation is offered a wonderful opportunity to explain to companies how we apply our new technologies to develop solutions that can improve their production processes. In addition to interacting and sharing knowledge with the rest of the industrial stakeholders at a European level, this encounter serves to boost collaborative actions to properly address the industry’s challenges.
The previous edition of the Transfiere forum, nowadays considered to be the most outstanding event addressing the transfers of knowledge and promotion of R&D&I in Spain, featured more than 200 expert speakers, over 2,000 professionals and more than 30 universities. The aim of this 11th edition is to increase these figures on February 16-17 at the Exhibition & Conference Centre in Málaga.
